VIDEO: Woman restrained after ‘deliberately coughing’ on Thai Airways flight attendant | Secret Flying

Thai Airways cabin crew pin down a passenger who deliberately coughed at them.

A Chinese passenger was put in a headlock by cabin crew after she reportedly coughed on them.

The incident happened on Friday on a flight from Bangkok to Shanghai.

According to reports, after the plane landed Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport, passengers were kept on the plane for seven hours as the coronvacirus screening procedures in the terminal created a backlog.

A Chinese passenger became so irate, she allegedly coughed on a flight attendant.

In a video, which has been shared on social media, cabin crew can be seen putting the woman in a headlock shouting “put her down” in Thai.

The woman eventually calmed down and no further action was taken.

“We could not open the doors of the plane until instructed to and health officials came to proceed with checks. Therefore, Thai Airways had to wait for seven hours before officials arrived at the inspection queue,” Prathana Pattanasiri, head of Thailand’s Aviation Safety Department, said.

“The Chinese passenger was upset about being held for a long time and coughed at one of our staff. After she calmed down, we explained the situation to her and she agreed to sit and wait for screening.”
