A screaming tourist was caught on camera slapping an immigration officer at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport after being told that she had to pay a hefty fine for overstaying.
A British woman who slapped an immigration officer is being held in Bali until she pays a $4000 fine for overstaying her visa.
Auj-e Taqaddas arrived at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport Saturday night hoping to to catch a flight to Singapore.
When she went through immigration, officers noticed Auj-e’s month-long visa had expired on February 18.
Having been in the country illegally for 160 days, she had to cough up a staggering $4,000.
Overstaying your visa in Indonesia will cost you $25 per day.
Auj-e overstayed by 160 days.
When confronted by officers, Auj-e screams “I’m your f*****g mother,” and slaps the guard.
She then says: “You bastards told me to bring the money, why didn’t you bastards tell me anything else. ‘And shut up your f*****g camera and show your ugly face in that camera.”
Immigration Chief Ngurah Rai Aris Amran said: “She pretended not know that she had overstayed. But people who visit a country to travel know they have a period of stay. She had overstayed since February.”
Auj-e is being kept in an immigration holding cell since Saturday while officers process the case and await payment.
They said they had also reported the slap to police.
