Will.i.am called a Qantas flight attendant racist. Now the airline is helping her to sue | Secret Flying

Qantas has vowed to help a member of its cabin staff.

Qantas says it will support legal action by one of its flight attendants who will.i.am accused of being “racist.”

The singer, whose real name is William Adams, was flying from Brisbane to Sydney when he claims he was encountered by an “overly aggressive flight attendant.”

Adams tweeted that the flight attendant “clearly aimed all her frustrations only at the people of colour.”

He went on to use the hashtag #racistflightattendant and posted her name and photograph on the social media platform.

He also posted a picture of the Australian federal police officer who was present when the plane arrived in Sydney.

Qantas has since hit back saying it rejected the allegation that the incident had anything to do with race.

An airline spokesman said the airline is willing to provide legal support to the flight attendant.

“Absent a retraction, and if the crew member wanted to take the matter further, we’d certainly be willing to provide legal support for them to do this,” the spokesman said.

Adams claims that the flight attendant was aggressive towards him because he couldn’t hear her through his noise-cancelling headphones.
