Naked woman turns up to New Orleans Airport to book flight.
A woman has been arrested after trying to book herself onto a Spirit Airlines flight at New Orleans’ Louis Armstrong International Airport completely naked.
Mariel Vergara, 27, reportedly approached the Spirit ticketing counter completely naked at MSY asking to buy a plane ticket.
Spirit Airlines employees told Vergara they would not sell her the ticket as she could not board the plane fully naked. In protest, she refused to leave.
When a deputy from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office was called, Vergara put on a top but had not bottoms.
According to reports, the top was too short exposing her genitals as she was not wearing any underwear.
She was initially arrested and charged with public indecency.
Vergara has additional charges recorded against her, including resist of arrest, police battery, obscenity and remaining in a public place.
Louis Armstrong International Airport has implemented increased cleaning and sanitisation practices to fight the spread of the coronavirus.
