Man urinates on passenger during mid-air argument to India.

An Indian man travelling on an American Airlines flight from New York to Delhi was arrested after allegedly urinating on a co-passenger during an argument.

The man, who was “deemed drunk by the airline staff,” began arguing with another passenger, before unzipping his pants and urinating on them.

The flight continued on, landing in India’s national capital at around 9pm on Monday. Local law enforcement officials were present at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, where the accused was arrested.

American Airlines did not confirm details of the incident, but issued a statement saying the flight faced a “disruption on board.”

“American Airlines flight 292 with service from John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) was met by local law enforcement upon arrival in DEL due to a disruption on board,” it said.

Incredibly, the incident comes only a few months after another man urinated on a co-passenger on a flight also from New York to Delhi.

That incident, which occurred on an Air India flight, hit headlines after the airline announced it had slapped only a 30-day ban on the man.

According to reports, shortly after lunch was served and the lights were switched off, the drunk man made his way to the business class cabin and unzipped his pants before urinating on an elderly woman and her belongings.

Despite the Air India crew being aware of the incident, the man managed to go scot-free after the flight landed in Delhi.

It was only after the woman sent a letter to Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Chairperson of the Tata Group, that the airline started a probe into the incident.
